When you're buying PPE in bulk, especially for a crew, don't just look at the price. Look at the fit range. Look at the certification. Look at the supplier's track record for rush orders. The total cost includes the potential downtime if the gear doesn't fit or fails. Don't learn that the hard way, like I almost did.

That Friday afternoon rush order cost us an extra $600, but it saved a $4,000 project and—more importantly—kept a crew safe. The client has been with us for over a year now.
